SHANNON MUIR’S THURSDAY THOUGHTS on THE PULP AND MYSTERY SHELF are weekly observations from the site administrator on her writing life, or the industry at large. Anything Shannon Muir thinks about goes – check the blog every Thursday!

Writer’s block. It isn’t so fun.

You want to make that goal of meeting your schedule, whether it be a daily word count or a publication schedule. Yet, no matter how hard you try, nothing comes to mind.

That’s me this week, on this column. My goal eventually is to be a few weeks ahead, but right now I’m usually managing to write the weekend before each one.

However, the last week in my day job has taken more than the usual amount of time, so something had to give this week. Unfortunately, it turned out to be this column.

Now the hard part comes in deciding what I’ll do for next weekend. Please feel free to comment and let me know what you’d like to hear about, whether from myself directly or in guest posts. I might be able to figure out a way to open up Thursdays to others while not necessarily being tied to a blog tour or book promotion.

Even though the comments are moderated, I do read everything personally and really would love to hear from you. After all, the main reason I do this is to give back – and that’s hard to do if I don’t know what you’d like to see.

Until next week!
