Not every day is about writing. Some days, it’s just deciding what to read, especially if I’m at a point where I want to start reading a new book. Sometimes, that can be a very tough challenge.
It can depend if there is a specific topic I am interested in at the moment. Perhaps I want a read that makes me think and figure things out, or a light read might be more appropriate. Am I up for a mystery, science fiction, or fantasy?
What’s harder is that what might fit a mood one night doesn’t quite work the next. Generally, what happens is that I tend to have several types of books going at once, and I pick up whatever fits the mood at that specific point. Overall, books get done at a slower pace. but I ensure I am engrossed at that specific book at that specific moment. The real challenge is keeping them all straight.
So how do you decide what to read? Share your thoughts.
Until next time…
